Temperature gauge mounting
I'm about a 6 month old '05 500 owner and have been looking for the right way to match SPORTSMAN70003 '03 look (love that look)...
In checking it out, the '05s have a flatter pod surface and only 1" depth where SPORTSMAN70003 put his gauges (not sure the clearance behind the earlier ones but they're a more bubble style and looks like it's has the clearance). I bought the automotive style three gauge package and it had a rear clearance requirement of 1 3/4". I am still searching for a shallower clearance unit or thinking of 1" spacers to fit them...No hurry, so...
If anyone has done this to an '05 - Let us know !
thanks

Pretty simple to me.
The advertiser sells and explains the pod installation of the water temp gauge.
tbg 120 thread as stated above has asked if anyone has done this type of installation.
Perhaps the advertiser would be more than happy to answer any tbg 120's question!

I have a Equus gague. 1 1/2 inch face. Works awsome, mounted it in my pod, clears everything fine.
I run between 170 and 195. Fan kicks on at 195 and off at 180.. On a cold day at 32 deg i run about 160 unless i push it hard, on a hot day it sits between 180 and 190.
