Hi Guys! I'm new to the forum but have been reading it for several months.

I am considering putting a winch on my scrambler, any recommendations on type/size and where to get mounting hardware?

 

search the forum for scrambler and winch, and you'll find some info. I am looking for a winch also; here is what I've found. Warn make a 1500lb winch that should do a scrambler fine; few of the guys on the forum have it and like. Warn currently only makes a mounting kit for the REAR of the bike, not the front. There was a front Bumper/Winch kit that was sold a few years ago but is no longer made. As far as I know, you would have to find that kit used or on ebay. One of the guys on the forum made a custom winch mount for the front of his bike, it looks pretty good. If you do the search you will run across all of the threads I got this info from.
