When setting in Nuetral rebbing the engine, it does not do it. Only when going down the road. I think its either front wheel bearings or slop in the front axle assembly.

It started with a little noise only when appliying brakes or in 4 wheel drive.
I will try to get a pic on to show you the repairs.It wallowed out where the A-Arm ataches to the frame it is was the lower one on the right hand side.

 

Again check your tire grab it and pull forward to back check for sloppy or any movement at all.

 

Noble look in my profile at the pipe pic.The red a-arm attaches to the frame by those brakets.It was slotted out worn and the bolt would move back and forth so the sound would be not always constant but always heard on hard top sufaces when on and off throttle agressively. Just check them by grabbing your tire and pull hard forward and back with your bike in park. If its fked the thing will move and you will hear the noise.Just a thought

I've got a 05 700efi and it makes the same noise.
Two other guys that I ride with also have the same problem.
The one has a 04.5 the other has an 05 like mine.
From what I'm told this sound is normal and nothing to worry about.
We will see I've got around 300 miles on mine so far.

 

I have 2100 miles on mine but the noise is getting louder all the time. It bothers me to drive it.
