Default The Polaris Nuthouse

Lol I just had 5 hot dogs. Which is too many.

Wheres bryce? How hard is it to change a pinion seal on a truck? Both of them are leaking on our Jeep and I'm not about to fork over 200 bucks to the dealer without a fight.

Actually, this one is a little more accurate (for me).

Have you done this before? I just want to check with someone I trust. The jeepers insist it is simple, but they are jeepers... if its on a jeep, its simple [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] for them.

I assume differential pinion, I think a steering pinion, too. $200 isn't bad today. You have to remove driveshaft and take apart the gears and use a new sleeve to torque the bearings properly and adjust gear mesh. Spend the dough if they are qualified.
Read the one I posted, it looks easier than that. Only thing is I need a massive torque wrench to see how much it takes to break the nut loose so I know how hard to tighten it.
