Default Want more torque on Trail Blazer

I have been considering a sprocket change on my son's Trail Blazer. He wants to be able to accelerate a little better and climb easier. Top speed is not 'that' important, although, he doesn't want to lose too much. He has to try and keep up with me on the Pred and SP700EFI The front can't be changed, but a larger rear is possible. Any suggestions on a sprocket change/set-up?

Any advice on a pipe and jetting and clutch kit to add torque.

My knowledge of this engine and set-up is nill. I haven't done much with 2 strokes in a while.

Thanks!!

you might wanna check out aeen, hpd, or hot seat......or you can call ritter at ritter cycle and he'll get you all setup for whatever you want and he won't beat you brains in on prices.

but first you will wanna go with a pipe setup.......maybe from hpd........before you touch the sprockets........they will give you the pipe, jets, and required clutching........then work on the sprockets........(correct me if i'm wrong anyone) but messing with sprockets on a stock machine, i was told, you will lose more than you gain because a stocker cant handle it???

If you want more lowend on a Trailbazer you have 2 choices for pipes Aaen makes a Torquer pipe for a 250 but I would say the best bet would be a Dynoport they are a single unit but make huge gains in power all the way around and dont NEED to be clutched but it helps. The HPD will loose more lowend but turn on on the top same as HSP and Aaens topend pipe and will need to be clutched to the pipes power range.

When you go changing gear ratio you will need to fine tune your clutch to match.

According to my dealer, the front is already as small as you can get on the TB.

Thanks for the replies guys.

So, moving up a little in sprocket/chain, adding the Aaen pipe, jetting, and matching cluthing is probably a good combo. This set-up is a little pricier than he will want to go, but we'll see.

Check the Dynoport it is $280 with the silencer and all you wilneed in clutching is a god Polaris secondary and a white Polaris primary spring.

If he decides to go with a white spring, PM me, I've got a spare.
