Newbie Question: What is an EPI clutch Kit?
#3
Dealers can usually get the EPI clutch kits. I really liked my kit. It gave me much better acceleration and power distribution. The kit comes with new springs, weights and a new helix.
Ask your dealer...it's worth it! (in my opinion)

A clutch kit is a series of replacement parts for your PVT clutch. By offering several kits, aftermarket companies allow you to tailor the engagement and shifting properties of your clutch to best match your driving style. Kind of like swapping a one size fits all setup for one tailored just for you.
Depending on what you want to do, it may be as simple as changing a spring in the front clutch (cost under $30 and a half hour to hour's labor) to replacing the entire 'guts' in both pulleys. (no idea on cost or labor involved). Ritter Cycle is a good place to start. Tell Rick exactly what you expect, and your riding style & I don't think he will steer you wrong. I was considering a clutch kit & he thought a spring shange would be enough, and he was right. He seemed more to want me to get the best deal for what I wanted rather than to sell the most parts. The number is 618-644-3211 if you are interested.
