My new Xplorer 400 ran great. There was also some good grouse hunting. My Xplorer outran the '00 Sportsman 500 in every aspect of riding. It was me, my buddy with the Sportsman and my dad with a '94 400L 4x4. My dad kept up with me the best, but I still toyed with it in a race. We were waiting on a guy with a new Rubicon, but he didn't show. The Xplorer has great wheel spin. On a dirt road, it would spin the tires when already going around 20MPH. It also performed well in the mud holes. We did wheelies, and the 500 was no match for the 2-strokes. My buddy may be getting a 500HO, then the competition will begin. He got a price quote of $6100 on a new Sportsman HO! Is that possible? Anyways I had a great time with my new Xplorer.

One problem though. The belt housing rubs when idling and going over bumps. Any solutions for this?
Thanks, Joe

That rubbing was eliminated with the 1995 models. Better take it back in for a little warranty work.
