Default I wonder if yamaha has ever heard of the scrambler?

I was reading the new ATVSport mag and saw a full page add about the new wolverine for 06. They say "The all-new wolverine 450 4x4. The world's First sport 4x4." they also say the high performance sport that goes places others simply can't.

I will admit I did look into the wolverine before I got my scrambler, and my friend has one and has never had a single problem with it. I just think it is funny that they claim to be the first ones ever to create a sport 4x4. Again I am not knoking the new wolverine! I think it looks sweet, but they should have said something like creating new compition in the sport 4x4 class.

I may even look into getting one for my wife. She likes my scrambler, but I think its just too much of a quad(weight, power, speed) for her.

I hope this will make polaris think about updating the scrambler or offering a 4x4 version of the Outlaw with a 700efi in it! I know its possible, like nike says JUST DO IT! lol

Oh they know about the Scrambler alright. The Wolverine gets spanked by the Scrambler everytime they do a Sport 4X4 shootout. I think that they are just at a loss for what to say about the "all new" unexcitable Wolverine.

I would love to see a new shootout between the two. I mean a real shootout, not a payed for new on the block must be better shootout. I have been considering the it for my girl freind also and getting rid of the scrambler. I think the scrambler is to heavy for her and a smaller quad she would be faster on.

You can covert the Wolverine 350 to a manual clutch and get a disconnect front end.... That's cool! Still not as fast as a Scrambler though, especially not a modded 400.

Yamaha and Polaris both have always claimed "First Sport 4x4". If I remember right the Scrambler 400 was released first, but the Wolverine actually hit dealers first.

Actually it isn't really "All-New". It's practically the Kodiak 450 with sport clothing. That's what i don't get, i wish yamaha would give it a nicer chasis and more sporty look and also the addition of the YFZ engine with a new automatic clutching to go with it - Than it would spank the scrambler.

I wish Polaris would pay attention to the OTHER manufacturers and relize they actually have competition these days, unlike when the Xcrambler first came out. They need to compete with the KFX700! The Wolverine is a cute liitle quad,I bet they don't pay much attention to it, but I would think they are loosing a lot of sales to the V force. I've always had good luck with kawasaki and if the KFX700 was 4wd I'd probably have that instead of a Scambler. I think the Scrambler is a great chassis, 4wd, steering, all very good stuff that is the product of 10 years of testing and improving....but give us the 700 twin engine! Drop it in as an option so we can run with the KFX! I think Polaris should leave it alone and just add a 700 Scrambler to the lineup.

I know I know, a moded 400 will keep up with a KFX and pretty much smoke it....thats nice. I want a 4 stroke twin that will run with it out of the box! I don't want to mess with modifications, or an older model 400.

Yea a 700efi scrambler with IRS lol. Or they could just change the plastic and bumpers on the sportsman 700 and make it look like the scrambler.

RJF mod that scrambler! You wont regret it!

IMO the wolverine is nothing compared to the scrambler.

Actually i think the macphearson front end i pretty good. A buddy of mine installed front fox struts on his scrambler and he ended up putting the macs back on because they performed better.
