Carb VS EFI ?
It is a mistake for the average guy to want EFI on an ATV.
The only thing it will do for you is cause you major problems in the future.
It will be problems that the average guy or many repair shops can't fix so that means many trips back to your dealer. Trips to the dealer add up to a bunch of money.
If you are the average guy that does not really know and understand EFI and have the ability to work on it yourself and you work for a living and can't afford expensive repair bills get the one with the carb.
I do this kind of thing for a living and I understand EFI but you could not give me a Polaris with EFI if I had to keep it and maintain it.

Modern EFI is EXTREMELY reliable. You likely won't need to work on it, even in the long haul. In addition to the benefits of better cold weather starting, better throttle response, better fuel economy, you can modify with an intake and exhaust without the need to rejet.
To answer the original question, I would get an 05 700EFI. The incentives make them a GREAT buy and value. Just my 2 cents.

I would agree with your statment. However, EFI has been out on the Polaris for a few years now and I read very few complaints or issues about it. It isn't too difficult to seal the unit. Don't get me wrong, there are some drawbacks. For example, if your battery is dead, you aren't going anywhere. For the most part, I think the EFI issues, FAR, outweigh the drawbacks.
