Take the secondary clutch apart and look.Sounds like you could have a bad clutch.

It is the big clutch in the cover. It has a snapring on the back to get it apart. Do you have a service manual for this bike?If not you need to get one.

You also need to be more descriptive and clear about what is going on. It sounds to me like everything is fine? you give it gas it jumps going forward do it again and the belt moves, isn't that what it is supposed to do?
are you saying you can jump the quad going forward and the belt is moving?

Your best bet is to look everything over real close and make sure things are as they should be. You may just have something out of place or need to set your secondary or your not used to riding the quad itself.

Anytime you get a used quad it is best to inspect everything very close, change all fluids and check all moving parts to be safe. If you see any zirks make shure you grease those too. You don't want to be going 60MPH and have your quad fall apart on you. I usualy do a full inspection before every ride. I only ride about 2-3 times a month so it is not that big of a deal. If you ride it alot just make sure you check things out atleast once a month. Things like tire lugs, chain tension, play in rear swingarm, ect...
