Default Cold, cold weather starting.

I saw on another site that some Honda's have a primer for cold weather starting. Does Polaris have a primer for this purpose? Also, how do you fellas start your Polaris in say, -25C weather? BL

Choke it and hit the starter. Mine starts right up.

My 400 started in -35*F with the choke and electric start. That's -37*C for the canadians.

polaris has choke which is just as good as a primer. They will start in any degree of weather with choke.

Just be careful in the extreme cold, the battery won't hold out long cranking a cold engine. But that's why the non-twins have a pull start.

I used to own a '97 Scrambler 500 4x4 and even in temps as cold as -20* F it fired right up. Just make sure you let the engine warm up a bit before you ride it hard.
Polaris' 0w-40 oil aids in cold weather starting.
