New guy here but I've been doing some searchs and a lot of reading and well I still haven't come across the ansewer to my question. I have a 97 scrambler 400, and I was wondering what is a good premix ratio is for a stock engine, and if any changes are needed for varying degrees of power mods. Like the rcr stage 1 kit, maybe a head change....

 

Just run what the bottle says to. I run what the bottle says on the Amsoil injector oil and it says to premix at 50:1 and I haven't had a problem one.

i run 50:1 or 40:1 , like duneaholic says follow what is says on the bottle. as long as there is blue smoke your good

I have been running Torco GP-7 at 40 to 1 in my 2 strokes for about 25 yrs.

 

I haven't removed it yet, but if I did I wanted to know what others are running for a mixture. I had a pretty good idea 40 to 50:1 was going to be the answer but I just wanted some comfirmation before I burn up the motor, which would be bad.
