Default primary clutches

all this talk about upgading to an 800 [rimary for the lower starting ratio
sounds like a good plan to me!!!!

I have seen guys ask about weather or not they will fit a 500

I would say yes as polaris doesn't seem to ever change the taper on their cranks

but to be sure if you want a low ratio clutch for your 500 or smaller machine ....... use a RANGER clutch
they start out a lower ratio as well

If you look at the 06's the 800 700 & 500 have the same primary clutches.

I am very impressed with the 800 primary on my 700 efi it will spin my 26" outlaw mst no problem anytime i want to, make sure to check the belt to sheave clearance before installing the 800 clutch mine was way off.

Did your dealer remove shims or add shims behind the spider?

Don't forget to change your belt in some cases as well.
