Bought the T-Boss Today!
#11
Congratulations, I just bought my 325 Trail Boss Wednesdey. It's a 2001. Can anyone tell me if the oil lines were changed for the 2001's? Also, I just took it out today on trails for the first time. It too seemed to run rough, kinda like a car runs when you get some bad gas. From your replys and comments, I should expect this to go-away? Also, this bike will get faster as it breaks in? Sounds pretty cool. I am also looking for a K&N but haven't found one, and shockwares? Any leads?

BK,
We ride either at the Badlands, or at my cousins place around Cataract Lake. It's a 1 hour drive either way. A little more to The Badlands.
I think I gave 30 bucks for the K&N. I still have it on my Scrambler, and I did not re-jet. Don't know if it would make a difference or not, but it didn't make it run any worse.

I will try to answer most of your questions. I am not sure if about the clamps on the oil lines. My dealer just got their heads out of their buts after my third call to them. They are supposed to order the parts and call me when they are in. I will post a thread when I get it fixed. I got the Uni from Shadetree outdoors for $22 plus shipping. (You can call them at 1-888-shadetree). I do not think rejetting will be necessary. It seems like it was running rich from the factory. I plan on running it a little and then checking the plug to see how its running. I will rejet then if necessary. As for the trail boss being a starter machine, it depends on your riding style. I bought mine in April for my wife. She is the primary rider. I ride it occasionally because it is much lighter to ride than my Magnum. There has only been a few times that I wished it had more power. If it fits your riding style and budget, then I wouldn't think of getting something bigger. I guess most guys get the urge to have the biggest and the baddest. Just a guy thing.
