Slipping ?

Slipping ?
I have a 2004 sp700 it rides great except today I was riding at full speed and let off and it would not re engage right away and now it feels like it is slipping after 50 mph. It will not go any faster and the engine seem to spin freely after 50mph Please help. Joe
