Rotella 15/40. Why do you want to run a straight weight?

ive never heard of a straight weight oil in synthetic, but even if there was one, the owners manual doesnt reccomend it.

Polaris reccomends their oil because they want you to buy it.

Most any good name brand synthetic is better than the Polaris oil.

I reccomend Castrol Syntec 5w50.

Polaris doesnt own a refinery, and they arent in the bussines of refining oil. They slap their label on someone elses bottle of oil, that meets their specs.
Its the specs your interested in matching, and the owners manual will say what it is. Brand name means nothing, its just a marketing tool.

I just got over some issues with the polaris PS-4 oil which is synthetic 10w-40.It was as thin as water and expanded like a bitch. The more you used the more it expanded .(read vent tube post).
I just switched to motul 15w-50 ester synthetic and so far no problems.
