Well after getting my 2000 Scrambler fixed last weekend, I now have a problem with the 1998 Scrambler 500. When starting, the bendix seems to keep spinning after it starts. I am guessing it is the bendix, it is a high pitched sound like something spinning and it lasts for about 3 seconds after the engine starts and the starter is released.

Should I just replace the bendix, the whole starter, or maybe it is something else.

just turn it off and start it up again, this is normal from what i hear. My scrammy did the same thing, then again it could be a sihn to get some new parts. I am waiting on the starter motor, bendix, and recoil/cover right now for my scarmmy.
