Default tire

hi all. i have a 2004.5 700efi and was wanting to put on new tires. royal distributing sells packages of tires and rims. the ones i am looking at are mudlites. 26x10x12 front and 26x12x12 rear on c5 series rims. i already have the front spring spacers on because of the plow. i was wondering if these tires would mount right on. i don't want any rubbing on tie rod ends. is this choice in tires too much work, or should i just stick with the stock size -25x8x12 front, and 25x12x12 rear. i think the bigger tire would be better for plowing, and pulling wagons and things around the farm, and also be a little better for the trails. the lugs are bigger in the 26's too. thanx much guys.

itp does make a 25 inch mudlite xl which is the deeper tread your going to want. you could go with the 25/12/12 rear and 25/10/12 in the front. i f i recall correctly i saw the 26/10/12 on the front of a 700 efi at my local shop, and there was only about a quarter of an inch clearance between the tire and the coil spring. i hope that helps you.

The ITP rims are offset to allow clearance of the tierods. I have the type 6 with 26x10x12 front and 26x12x12 rear. With the spring spacers you have it will be fine.

I have the 25" mudlite XL's on my 400. They are stock size. The lugs are plenty deep, but I think that 25" tires would look small on your 700 (they look small on mine, but I didn't want to lose too much power.

The mudlite is definetly a great tire, though. Lots of sizes. http://www.itptires.com/mudlite.html 26" is definetly not too much for your 700. You could even consider 27", but you'd have to ask about fender clearances.

i went with the 26's on my 500, and also got the 1" wheel spacers and 2" spring spacers. i couldnt ask for a better setup. the extra width in the front made me feel a little more confident going sideways on hills and the spring spacers leveled out the front end with the rear. take a look at my pics if you want to see what 26's did for my 500 and that can give you an idea of what it will look like on your 700
