SHOCKS SQEAKING???
#11
well guys, i tried the spray grease trick on the front shocks and ....no luck, i drowned them and got on the racks and jumped up and down, sprayed em' again and still no luck, still making that sound of an old, worn out bed where if you move one bit everyone can hear the springs sqeaking. any other tricks up your sleeves?

I had the same trouble on my Expedition every time I washed it. The solution I found was to use the spray lithium grease up under the steel cup and then bounce a few times. I would then rotate the spring assembly approximately 60 deg by hand and then re-apply. I would do this three to four times per side and the squeaking would go away every time. ok, thanks, i dont know how difficult it will be to rotate the springs but hey...its worth a shot, i am going riding this weekend and will spray them really good before the ride and see how well they will do. thanks all again, any other helpful hints are more than welcome. thanks

here is the problem on almost all of these machines....its the bushing, either top or bottom or both....
jack up the machine and let the suspension hang....then remove the bolts from the shocks....there is usually a steel bushing and rubber bushing....clean it out, grease it up and put it back together and the squeak will be gone....this is for all machines, not just polaris, i just did this on two yamaha wolverines for a friend...nice and quiet now
