What year is my quad?
#1
I just bought a Trailboss and I'm not sure of the year.
It is blue, and has the little pull **** shifter down behind your right ankle. I assume there is a dead giveaway in the VIN, where do I find that?
Also, I would like to add a little snap to the clutch engagement, anything I should look to adjust first before I look to change springs?
Thanks
Edit* Here's a link to my photobucket pics of it. Appreciate the info.

Just a guess, but it could be an 02/03. What size is the motor? What decals are on the machine? Pics would be great.

Yes, it is the 250 2 stroke.
I'm not sure how much snap this thing should have, but it seems a little doggy. Its tough to tell when you are used to riding a 650 twin. I clocked it at 44.1 with my GPS, and I feel that is a fair speed for this quad. It feels like it revs slow and the clutch engagement feels very soft.

EPI pink isnt a good choice for 2strokes(great for 4stroke TBs) try either a Polaris white or green.

to find your year there should be a sticker on your pull start cover. the first 2 digits are the year of your bike. if you can't read that or its gone, your vin number should be on a sticker on your nose piece, if thats gone it's engraved on the frame on the left side below the motor and slightly in front of it.
