My buddy has a 2005 700 carb, and it keeps kicking the AWD in even when the switch is in the off setting.

Background information:
The ATV was drowned out in a water hole when it had about 130 miles on it. This ATV has not had a easy life, it has about 240 miles on it and EVERY single mile has been dogged on the ATV. Well he is just bitching and wont stop about the 4x4 system kicking in when its on the off setting and he is spining the tires at about 30 mph and staying still. Do you think its the oil in the diff? It was taken to the dealer after it was drowned out and they changed all the fluids. I was thinking they put the wrong weight oil in front diff. I don't have a clue as to why its doing it, but other than that flaw its running great. This atv's engine revs at about 6000 rpms at all times. Guys I'm not lieing this quad has been to hell 5 times and is on a trip back. If anyone knows what to do about the 4x4 system PLEASE let me in on it. If I can figure out how to upload the videos off of my cell phone I'll show them to you guys, because I've never seen a ATV dogged this bad and still run. If the armature plate in the diff is warped it will have an intermittant 4x4 problem. My brother inlaws sp600 did the same thing and he did nothing about it untill the front diff let loose. He was in 2 wheel drive and was spinning the rear tires but then the front kicked in and blew abart the rollar cage in the diff. Huge mess. I am rebuilding it for him because he knows nothing about atv's. Very easy to rebuild. A few things to check. Does the speedo work, does the 4x light come on when turned on, does the 4x work when turned on. If it was in water I can almost bet the armature plate is bad. This will make it turn on when not needed. The older diffs had plastic rollar cages but then they upgraded it with aluminum on the newer ones but the armature plates are the same.
