why? because i called a friend who just bought one to see if his was overheating........you know what he said? Dealer wouldn't give him the ATV untill next week because of THIS problem!(parts are on order).....then WHY the heck did they give me MINE?!
i hate to say it but that 2006 Honda 700EFI Rincon is looking pretty good these days!

i wanted to go back to my original quote and then give the 1500+ viewers a quick update. it appears that the fix has worked. i just finished plowing my driveway and the fan cycles like it's supposed to.
in the back of my mind the thought of overheating remains.
i hope in time this ATV will earn back my trust.

here's my advice:
when you go to start your EFI, turn the key on WAIT for the fuel pump to stop buzzing, THEN start the ATV.
you should be all set.

I picked my new 2006 500 EFI up about a month ago and had the two same problems, "HOT" and wouldnt Idle. No Idle just needed the throttle cable adjusted. The "HOT" problem took two trips to the dealer. The first time in they changed a temp sensor the next time in I took this forum with me and suggested they put in the update (harness). Just picked it up tonight.
