Heated grips
#2
I installed a set of Hotgrips and they have worked great. I've read some posts though where people say they stink(not sure why) and to buy the polaris ones...The hot grips were easy to install and come with High & Low settings. Cost me about $40.00

My brother inlaw went through 2 sets of hotgrips and I have been through a set and all 3 sets the switches went bad. I dont like how hard the grips are for riding. They are hard on the hands unless you wear gloves. Yes they do work great when they work but uncomfortable. I now have the polaris inserts and I can use my own grips. These also have the high/low and get very warm. You can also get the heated inserts from Dennis Kirk or Rockymountain Atv. They are aboyt $50.00. Easy to install. The heated grips really keep the hands warm in the winter.

Go with the polaris ones you can use any grips you want and you don't have to cut any wires drill one hole use air to blow the grips off blow in the hole at end of grip and plug the other end it will come right off and they get nice and hot they have high or low too I use them for plowing all the time they even dry your gloves the wireing is plug and play so it easy

The heated grips work great. Im not sure which ones i have but i can use any grips that i want. They also get very hot and have a high- low setting. They are great investment if you do alot of cold weather riding.

You can take a test light and under the hood there are some open end wires with rubber insulators over them and find a hot wire that is hot with key on and off with key off. Any of the red with white stripe is a hot wire. Most of the Sportsmans have a power outlet that you can tap into also.

I installed the hand warmers(moose) and used the tail light power wire, red with white strip, warmers work great so today I bought the thumbwarmer,(pure polaris)I am thinking about tapping into the power lead for the handwarmers to get power to the thumbwarmer. What do u think? will the be to much voltage going thruogh to power lead with both warmers on at the same time? Also anyone put any inline fuses in?
