That's a negative on the rpm. We've run ours with a 7,000 rpm shiftout since '96. We've actually run it all the way up to a 7,200 shiftout with a top of 7,400 but have brought that down a bit. Oh, we do use up Wiseco's from time to time, but they don't damage anything anything else.

Since we have been experimenting with the Aaen roller secondary coupled to the Super Torquer primary, it's been a real education for me. It's kind of like a Ski-Doo TRO setup on a Polaris clutch. The acceleration with the SuperTorquer setup is quite phenomenal along with the roller secondary.

I would still build the motor first and get the clutch to match the output rpm where you want to run. Too many changes to a newly built motor can result in lots of losses at the wheels with mis-matched clutching. I even wonder how many actually tune their clutch to the exact weight of their body along with a 1/2 tank of fuel.

For such a simple belt drive system (at least I thought so before) there sure are a lot of details to look at and to consider. Good thing we can ask a lot of questions here on ATVConnection!
