Default EFI Fuel Pump

Is the electric fuel pump internal or external on our fuel injected sportsmans? My doesn't run anymore i would hope that these fuel pumps would last longer than 40 hrs and 200 miles, so here i am again with the atv at the dealership and no way to do my snow removal jobs. I was really looking hard at a 750 brute force with 14" rims and 27" tires, i would really hate to change brands, but i am tired of going to dealership all of the time and having no atv to ride.

there were a few issues with the 05 700's having their fuel pumps prematurely wear out. the fuel tank houses the fuel pump, you will need to get a new fuel tank to get a new pump.

sorry about your 700, but what are all the problems you've had thats making you want ot change?

I wounder if the fuel pump issue is due to it over heating when low on fuel causing it to wear out sooner. It is something i am going to keep in mind. The new tanks is not cheap. To bad there is not away to use an external fuelpump like they have for cars. Sorry to hear about the problem.

My first problem was with the wiring to the injectors it kept throwing codes and it run like crap got that problem solved then the drive belt shreaded after 3 hrs of use and now it has four different codes and it doesn't run and my fuel guage doesn't register my fuel pump doesn't work, my last two atvs were sportsman 500 and never had a bit of trouble with either of them. It is under warranty still i am going to let them fix it and try it again i just hate to think of going to a different brand i have always had polaris atvs and snowmobiles and this atv has been a pain in the butt to keep running. It has 40 hrs and 200 miles.

http://www.precision-aircraft.net/parts.htm This web site say they have fuel tanks for 04 an 05 efi an carb for $20 I would think they would want more if fuel pump in it would be worth checking out
If you talk to them let use know if pump is included
