What do you guys think about KTM announcing they are getting into the sport quad market?Man it would be nice to see a light weight 525 powered KTM/Polaris quad putting out 50-55 HP.

 

I think its great. Should be a winner.
Maybe Polaris will get their own badged version like the differant z400 variations.

Yeah... when the 700 twin first debuted, i BRIEFLY considerred an engine-swap, but after investigating the cost (and the fact that the motor could not be purchased seperately) i quickly threw those plans out the window. still, maybe these days with a new 800EFI model i could engine swap and make an 800EFI scram, w/ a 500HO sportsman... we'll add that to the when i win the lotery list...

short version: dunno if you can buy KTM motor seperate. If you can, it WILL be expensive (like... $1000-$2000 range) and personally i think that w/ $1000-$2000 in mods... a pred would ANNIALATE ALL. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]!!!
