I may soon be looking at a new quad,what are the differences in the 00/01 polaris xplorer 400 4x4?
anyone got a picture of an 01? may also consider the mag 500 how much more $ is it? how much slower?

I believe the '01 Explorer is $300 or $400 cheaper than the '00 model. Polaris removed the "pod". The "pod" has a headlight & speedometer in it. This is probably the only difference in the two models.


Can't help you on the Magnum. It doesn't get the press that the Sportsman gets.

 

the 01' xplorer lost the headlight pod got cheaper,it gained the new long lasting brakes, new steering geometry,lifetime belt warentee. the 01 is the better machine because it is better and cheaper.
