So I am new here and I would like to first say hello!! I just bougth my wife a new preditor (yes there is alterier motives here) but I am a little pissed about 2 things with in one week the bars are bent (I never laid it down or anything) and the revers lock out swith mout is broken... now here is the question are these thing normal, does polaris just put crappy bars on stock? and the WTF with the revers lock out switch?l?! I hope I didnt makea bad decision I am a Yamaha man through and through and I took a leap of faith with this one!Pics

 

First off, welcome to the forums...

I have to tell ya, that is 2 things you got going on there that I have not seen or hear of having problems yet. I'm a pretty big guy, and jump the preddy allot, and don't always land right, and have not bent my bars. I think the reverse lockout **** is in a different place than on the '05 like I have. I don't know, maybe take it back and see if you can get warrenty out of the dealer, cause that just don't sound right. For the most part, Polaris is pretty good about the warrenty stuff too. Especially if your dealer goes to bat for ya...

F.Y.I. Polaris's waranty is the best in the biz, and you should be able to take it back to the dealer and have them fix most of that (dunno about the bars... they might call that wear and tear...) but at least the switch mount for sure. I've had the worst luck in history w/ my pred... (near $5000 in waranty claims) but unlike my buddy's YFZ450, all my problems were paid for under waranty, and i've got a whole new motor now. case and all the internals, with no more problems. I'd say you didn't make a mistake buying the pred. Just get this stuff taken care of quickly!

 

i see you bought the same thing i did! good luck with your pred, you'll love it! as far as the problems you have, take it to your dealer and they'll fix it. what you have described isnt normal at all. my predator has hit a tree, flipped over 3 times and took on a 5 board fence and the only thing thats broken on it is the front right plastic clip on the fuel tank. and polaris is fixing it for me for free!
