I can't get a trailblazer 250 to start from the key it will start with the pull start

I have replaced the starter relay as one of the terminals inside was black

I have checked for voltage at various points I am getting a volotage up at the switch but no lights at the gear selector or oil light front and rear lights do not come on until it is running


can any one help

Do you have voltage, when cranking over.....on the other side of the selenoid?? Could be a bad selenoid or ignitoin system......just search around with a test light......the problem can't hide for too long......


Might also look under the front hood, and check connections there.....also mess around with a test light too.....see if you have power to the terminal, that controlls the key, and the push button starter......

 

when key is switched on there are no lights on any of the selectors or oil light
we have 9.6 coming out of the battery and nothing on the other side of the solinoid
when the key is turned on to the start position there is nothing atall

pull the start cord and runs fine??????????????
but still no lights on dash ??
have metered it back of the ingition switch and we have 9 volt on the plain red wire but nothing else

your battery is fried. you should have 12.6v
