330 Trail Boss question
I just picked up a nice used 2004 Trail Boss for my wife. So far it seems to be a good bike, but I am disappoined in how "buzzy" the engine is. Ride it for 20 minutes, and your fingers are tingling. Is this normal for these engines? I also have a 250 Trail Blazer and 400 Scrambler, and neither two stroke has near as much vibration as the 330. I recently sold a 300 Arctic Cat that was ultra smooth. Input is appreciated.

It's a long shot but what the hell. Check the 4 nuts that hold your handle bars down (under the plastic ignition/choke lever cover). Check your engine mounts. I checked every nut and bolt I could get to and found one of the handle bar nuts loose. Everything else was tight.
I have the RCR Stage one kit so it's a little ruff. But when stock I don't remember a vibration.

Nevadastars,
I have the same problem and after riding for about 4-5 hrs your hands are numb. You can get handle bar inserts that you slide into the ends that will eliminate the vibration. I do not have these yet but I know they do work. Dennis Kirk has them. Overall the 330 is very reliable and has plenty of power to go about anywhere but top speed is not that great. If you want better performance then you can get an EPI pink primary spring. It will engage a little sooner but pull alot harder throughout.

Thanks for the input! I did a search on the Dennis Kirk site, but came up empty. Are these something that actually slides inside the tube of the bar to dampen vibration? Thanks again,
Don
