#1
Can anyone tell me which needle and seat HPD uses in there 39pwk carb's for the RACE MOD 400's? Is it the regular needle and seat they have, or is it the FLUID DAMPENED needle and seat?
Thanks for the help!

race mod suggest a 6.5 slide,EEG needle, third or fourth clip,
the shim you must use is anywhere from a .010 to .030 depending how lean
you gonna run,i even heard race mod engine running a 6.0 slide to be
richer in the upper throttle positions.

Hey Rick,
Can I get everything off of you to fix it? It was on a snowmobile i think and I want to get it set up correctly for the 400 Race mod, what would it cost me to fix it the way it should be? Also it may have been on alky i'm not sure. I got a good deal on it so i bought it, I gave $75.00 for it?
Thanks!

Considering the cost of the parts , and then the fact the carb is used , I would buy a new carb and E-bay the one you have bought for $75 .
This will assure you that it will work right . You could drop another $100 in bits and pieces to convert your carb to what the new one would be . Another thing to remember is that you will need a way to hook up the choke . If that carb is off of a snowmobile the sled manufacturer may have had Keihin do some internal changes as well to suit their needs on the unit they had them installed on .
In a nut shell , it it a risky proposition .
