Starter Block off plate?

Default Starter Block off plate?
On a 97 Sport 400 do you have to remove the motor out of the frame in order to take the starter off and put the block off plate on?

nope just remove the skitd plate and recoil cover.

stand the bike up on the grab bar and it gives you plenty of room to work around.
