Need sand tires

Well what kind of riding will you be doing? If you like side hilling, riding bowls, and sliding, then dont get haulers. Get something along the lines of Skat Trak Edges or Sand Stars or Sand Skates. But if you like dragging and hill climbs then go for the haulers. heres a website for some tires and paddles

i don;t know what type of mods u have on it but a predator with any flat paddle at all is going 2 be a wheelie machine. you have enough power to turn a pretty aggressive tread with that engine, but the front end will never be on the ground. by the way... i agree with everything cr125predator said

We have 6 different sets of paddle tire for sand. We love the Hallers and any cheap straight blade.
We all prefer the straight blade paddle over and angled paddle. We ride everything at Glamis.
Only the straight blade will make it up the most aggressive hills like China Wall at Glamis in CA. The stock Badlands on my '03 400 Trailblazer listed below would make most hills at Glamis except China Wall, and a few others at high noon when the sand is the driest.
The only way we made China Wall on Sand Trak angled paddles was by reversing them and drop air to 1.5 lbs.
Even Oldsmobile Hill people ride wheelies on stock tires on Raptors, YFZ 450 and your quad all the way up. At high noon its another story, the sand is to loose.
I was so impressed with the stock tires on the 400 Polaris because of ride quality and climbing ability that I ran them for 2 days. One dry day and one rain day. On the rain day the only way to pass me was on a more powerful quad.
Even the stock Prairie 650 made the hill in reverse with stock tires.

The best tire for the money is the ITP Sand Star. It hooks awesome and has great cornering ability. If you just want to climb hills and drag then the Skat-trak hauler is unbeatable!! I have climbed China Wall with haulers at 3lbs. What a rush!! It's more of a rush coming down China than going up.

Thanks for your post. My Predator is all stock other than the after market pipe it came with. I like the hill climbing, and jumping it. So by the sounds of it I should go with the haulers. Do you guys know how many paddles I should have. 9? how wide should they be. last time I rode in sand I just barrowed someones and didn't bother to look how many paddles they had. I do know they were haulers. Otherwise I'm pretty ignorant about the tires. Thanks again.

Go with an 8 paddle, but i dont know what size to go with. Somebody else will have to help you on that.

go with more than 8. i'm putting 8 paddles on my banshee, and i'm doing extremes. i'm not a 4 stroke guy but since your getting haulers i'd say 9 or 10. predators have alot of low end power, predators have alot of power everywhere. you can have more then 8 paddles. i'm sure someone will bring this up but you also want 2 keep enough room between paddles to let the sand in. if you have to many paddles they actually throw less sand.
