Just curious, I've had a Polaris white spring with a Heel Clicker in my 03 600 for about a year now. I have an EPI maroon on the way just cause I like to experiment and have read positve things.

However, I just took a good look at Rick Ritters spring testing and it looks like the EPI maroon is a monster, it might be closer to the Heel Clicker orange or yellow. Anyway thanks Rick for sharing that "benchtop" comparison of various primary springs and if anyone has input on the EPI maroon I would be greatful.

 

Yes I have the Heelclicker kit and have used the hc white, and orange, polaris stock blue, epi maroon, and the epi red with it. Actually the epi maroon is nothing like the hc orange or yellow. In fact it is almost exactly like the polaris stock blue. It will have a VERY slight higher engagement than the stock blue, even less than 100rpms. Honestly, you will not be able to tell a difference. I have run some times with both the epi maroon and the stock blue. There was absolutely no time difference or speed. If you were to drive two identical machines back to back, one with the stock blue and the other with the maroon, you'd swear it was the same setup.When you get it, compare it side by side with the blue. The diff you'll find in the feel is about the diff you'll find in performance. Now the EPI red spring is a beast! It will engage around 2800rpms and you better hold on. I ordered the maroon expecting more, however, I can promise you, if you have the stock blue in, it is definetely not worth taking the cover off to put the epi maroon. Let me know when you get it, and what you find in your comparisons.
