1994 polaris 400L
#1
This bike has 2500 miles on it and before i started reading all the 2 stroke threads i was convinced that i had a great machine but now i feel like it will probley fly apart at anytime. I don't think that it was abused prior to me getting it i have changed the counterbalancer oil i've used polaris oil in the tank
it has had new sproket and chain and it seems to work OK i have put less than 200 miles on it. please someone ease my fears....

Relax .......
Change the oil in the balancer area ,and keep an eye on it for water contamination and put a wiseco piston in it .
The above things are what kills 95% of polaris 400's .
Myself personally , I kind of want a 1991 - 1993 2wd 350 cc quad with a junk motor . I want to maybe slip a 400 engine in it . If anyone knows where one is laying around in a shed I would be interested .

I felt the same way about the piston when i was reading up on it, even though it ran great and strong.
I went ahead and did the new top end with a few extra goodies along with the Wiseco.
