Default 27" vs 26" XTR w/14 vs 12 wheel questions

(for a 800 EFI w/ front Gorilla axles)

will it mess up the glacier plow because of the increased height? I don't think so but...

will the higher center of gravity make the machine less stable up steep hills? I don't think so but...

only 27s I know but the tire posts here say maybe the PXTs are small 26s

I am okay having to replace a wheel here or there - I broke a wheel on a rock which is why I am buying wheels now

I am hoping that the extra inch or so of tire will help compensate for the 2 inch larger wheel
I think it will handle better and ride a little worse - The main thing is I hope it won't become noticeably slower with 27" tires !!!!

By the way it is a black on silver 06 with brush guard, bumper, etc and I am leaning towards the black C series Type 7 ITP wheel with XTRs

Default tire & wheel size help

i have a 05 800 with 27" bi and tri claws on them. I have now problems and it really kills me about people asking if wheels and tires make this beast any slower. No offense meant by that but i can't tell any difference. Now, i don't time myself on straight aways or anything but this thing is awesome. 1 yr now and no problems and i ride the hell out of it down south here in the mud and over anything in the way. I just added stick stoppers and a radiator guard along with the two bumpers and although this stuff is heavy all together.....so what, i don't notice it. I think you're mainly concerned with how it will affect plowing so i can't help you with that since i live in the panhandle of florida.

Default tire & wheel size help

I measured my stock 800 tires
rear 25 inches tall and front 24 inches tall
it has 32 hours on the clock so they are not worn out and they have plenty of air

will itp tires be off as well? - if I get 27" XTRs that are really 27" tall they will be WAY bigger than what I have

Default tire & wheel size help

No problems at all. I make sure that i'm in low when going up steep hills from a stop and other situations that require low, like bad mud. I haven't had issues at all though.

Default tire & wheel size help

Thanks for the help
I bought the ITP C type 7 Limited Edition wheels w/XTRs
the black with chrome trim wheels are not available for Polaris models in 14"s so that helped me make up my mind and get the 12s

ITP technical support was extremely helpful so I would recommend calling them if anyone needs help
