Anyone know the top end on the old FOURTRAX 300? the utility one. I think my boss will actually beat my neighbors but i don't know... never raced him yet. THANKS ALOT

 

probably will be close I owned a 1995 300 4x4 and it went 40-43 mph, but I think you will beat it.

2X4 mine would go 45 tops.

 

We have 2 '88s, one is 4x4 one is 2x4, about 45mph is top speed on both. I'm sure the boss top speep is higher, my son's Explorer will cruise right on past, top is over 50mph. This was on a paved road.

Sorry to break it to you, but the 325 trailboss will only top out about 44 mph. I've rode along side with my scrambler and explorer and both speedos read about 43 or 44. To be even more sure, I took my gps out for a ride...read 43.6 mph. I think there was a post a moonth or so ago about the 325's top speed. Majority of people said aboue 43-45. Still should beat the trx300 though!

 

then there must be something wrong with mine that makes it O-SO-RIGHT! I've ran it side by side with my jeep and my dad's expedition both and it turned out speeds of around 52MPH plus, thats what my dealer says it should do. I have been reading constant complaints abou top speed being only aroun 43 and i'm happy to say that mine is stock and i don't seem to notice the same handy-cap.
