Default hawkeye compare?

anyone own one of these? how is it in the mud and does it really need a low range, so it doesn't work hard? im concerned about the 22" small and cheap tires. wife likes the mud and dont want it to be like her tb, which is pretty good w/ mudlites.

If you do a search on this there are several good posts regarding this machine. I've ridden one and was impressed for the price.

I can't comment on the cheap tires but can say the fronts seem a little too small. The rears were not huge but the fronts where too skinny. The low to mid range power was fine for a 300cc engine.

My .02: Spend a few hundred more and get the Magnum. You get low range gear, important for plowing. And a helluva lot more high end power. Even the salesman I talked to commented that the hawkeye was a bit of "a dog".
