Default Weighing Race ATV'S?

What is a good way to weigh a race quad if you don't have the proper scales? Can you use a hanging scale, or can you use a set of bathroom scales,( put the bathroom scales under 1 tire at a time and then add up all of the weights?)
Any help you be great.
THANKS!

bathroom scales won;t work one wheel at a time.

you can load it in the truck/trailer and go to the dump/truck stop. weight the truck/trailer combo with the bike on then take it off and weight it again. truck stops are easier.

You need 4 good bathroom scales to do it. Don't buy the cheapest, but a mid grade scale. Put one under each tire then add the weight. It comes out very close +- a couple lbs. This also helps see how balanced your front to rear weight is to.

What if I tied a rope to the grab bar and to the steering stem and used a hanging scale and a motor puller to gradually pick it up untill it is off the ground?

take it to the weigh station on the interstate if you want accurate weight. I have the manual for my trailblazer and the stockweight...i tried the bathroom scale trick and it was way off

Get a hydraulic jack and use a bathroom scale that will read your quad's weight, about 350 lbs is the largest I've seen. Put the scale on the hydraulic jack and use a board to help balance the quad. You'll have to move the jack forward or back to find the quad's front/rear balance point, you need to get all 4 tires off the ground for an accurate reading. Check my pics.

you will need a bathroom scale larger then 350. even 400's with frame lightening way in at over 350. unless the suspension is gone.

I bet my Scrammy with the engine removed weighs more than 350 lbs! Now if I can just figure out how to run the atv without the extra weight of the engine, I'll be good as gold!

Drag race ATVs are much lighter than you guys are talking, my new Raptor build should be under 300 lbs ready to race.
