Thanks for all your input. I have found the problem...turns out that one of my circuit breakers (that are concealed in a black plastic boot) got water in it and corroded the breaker. I took the breaker off and touched the wires together to test and everything works fine. Now all I need to do is buy a new breaker and boot.
