Code 45/BAP-T sensor problem
I’ve been away from the computer since early last Thursday “field testing” riding gear (hehehe)
Yeah, my thoughts are you didn’t get it quite right or it would be cured. It’s only “bulletproof” if you make it that way. And yeah, I was given one of those cold heat soldering contraptions as a Xmas gift a few years ago and it sure won’t do any of the kind of soldering I need done.
What I did when I repaired mine was drill a 1/16” hole in each of the terminals on the sensor. Then I tinned each spade terminal and each wire end with solder. As I heated up each terminal and the solder around and in the hole melted I’d push the tinned end of the correct wire through the hole and let it cool. Once it solidified I snipped off the excess wire coming though the other side of the hole. Then on to the next one. Don’t forget to slip a length of heat shrink tube on the wire before soldering it to the terminal. If you do a nice, clean, proper soldering job you will get the desired results. If you don’t………….. you get error codes. It's that simple.
