iQ]My buddy who used to grow "plants" always talked about somthing he'd see for protection. its a holder with some type of trip wire. they load with 12 gauge [/quote]
Both will get you thrown in jail and the 12 gauge thing could get you put in prison. Insurance goes a long way. Remember even though the thief is doing wrong, if you "booby trap" somthing you will end up getting more time than the thief.
Do a Googe search for the louisana gauard dog lock i'm sure it could be mounted to the floor also.
just my $.02

Get insurance and move to a better neighborhood! My ATV is sitting in my driveway with no more security than the key isn't actually in the ignition. There are five snowmobiles in my neighbor's front yards within one block of my house with no more security than my ATV. I'm paying $104/year for liability, $0 deductible comprehensive (including theft) and $500 deductible collision. Thank goodness for small towns in the middle of nowhere!

I live in a neighborhood that has the neighborhood watch program, pull the key from the ignition, and keep my Taurus automatic .45acp loaded. It helps that I can use it to defend life or property. I have 2 dogs that live outside in my garage and everytime they bark, I wake up so I'm good to go.
Oh and I have theft insurance with 0 deductible.

my neighbor hood also has the neighborhood watch and the 2 houses to the west have been bulldozed and built over becuase multiple people have been busted there for drugs and stealing and stuff like that. but from our house east its an average neighborhood so dont get a bad impression. I'n our garage i just park the pred in the clear front, the sport to the side..then i pull the truck behind them both. so if they want the quads they have to move the truck.
