Default Cracked Low End Motor Casine

I have had a Polaris 250 Trail Boss and now a 400 Scrambler and I have had a cracked crank casine on both of them so I was wondering if I was the only one.

I have some pieces of aluminum that you can weld to your cases so they don't crack. Just look at polarisfreak's pics on here and let me know if his cracked case looks like yours. I get 15.00 shipped for the case saver if it's like his.

What would cause the case to crack there?

They tell me it's due to how the case is molded, it has bolt holes molded outside the case instead of inside where the aluminum is a little thicker and with enough vibration they will crack.

Both of mine has cracked because of bearings going out on the crank causing the piston to hit the cyclinder walls breaking. The piece of the piston got down in the crank case and the crank hit it causing it to bust the casine.
