Default phoenix backfire

anybody know the causes and the fixes polaris used on the 2005 phoenix backfire problem? i read about 3 diffrent fixes. the etc,cdi and coil, and a replacement sparkplug. if the cdi is the culprit is the replacement the exact same part or a updated unit?

Acyully the backfirering comes from the stock pipe. When exhaust goes into the pipe it is acomponed by unburned fuel fumes they buid up in the maze of the muffler and explode at the end of the pipe. The only way that i've figured out how to stop the backfireing is to buy a different pipe. Ritter Cycle Racing sels a different muffler ,but it is very loud. Also you have to contuct Rick Ritter himself on the phone to purchase it. Go to www.rittercycle.com for a phone #.
