Default Predator Bolt Ons

OK guys heres the scoop. My friend bought and LTZ450R yesterday which he takes delivery late next week. I get the call saying how my polaris is now outdated and the next dune trip he is going to wax me. Keep in mind he had a Honda 450R last dune trip and well it didn't do to well compared to my ride. He just turned 47 and I think he's midlifing.

Anyway heres what I currently have
DMC alien Full systen
K&N
Dynojet stage 2 jetting
These simple mod really woke her up, but I need more to put this Zuki to shame. So what other options do I have to pull some extra power from my 05 predator? I really appreciate your responses.

Shawn

Not sure how you have that K&N hooked up, but that is one thing I would look at. If that's a drop-in, I would mod the airbox, or get a clamp-on. After that, and depending on the type of racing you are doing, might want to look at lower gearing. Either going to a 39 tooth rear, or a 13 tooth front. The 13t is real low and the 39t rear falls between stock and the 13t. Those are the cheaper mods, after that, maybe getting the carb modded or going with the 450r carb all together.

Personally, I think if you are opened up right and geared right, you should be fine.

Sorry to say, you would probably have to drop quite a bit (being polite....a ton) of cash for your pred to run with the new Suzuki. Enjoy what you have, it is by no means "dated". Ride and have fun!!!

Webopper, what carb mods did Bad Boys do and what did you notice. I have not had the best of luck with those guys, customer service really stinks. Since they changed ownership I followed Richard and Brian to RATV.

Yea, don't deal with the guys in the shop, they are idiots. Deal directly with Dennis. He is not part of Richards, he just rents the space in the shop from them. Call him direct and he will take care of you. I've never heard of one person having a problem with Dennis. His cell phone number is on the web page in my link.

As far as what he did, I'm not all sure. I know he modded the slide spring and the slide, and rejetted. I think he also "cleaned" a couple areas of the carb.

Runs strong now, pulls really hard on the top, which is attributed to my having a clamp-on type of filter. I just wish I would of either tuned it for more low end, or geared lower for the dunes. That hurt me on a couple races.
