Default Magnum 325 carb problems?

My 325 has lots of miles on it. Recently it started to stall and then would not start for a while. Next was gas in the crankcase. I took off the air filter cover to find gas/oil mixture coming in from the crank breather line. Drained the oil and put in clean oil, new plug but same problem. Will idle but stalles when throttle is applied. Someone suggested a bad float that is causing the carb to flood the cylinder, therby causing the excess gas to wash down into the crank. The recirculating gas/oil to the air filter is a result of the crank being too full. I have purchased a carb main jet assembly and filters. Checked the fuel pump-seems ok. Any ideas?

You may want to replace the needle and float assemble. Be sure the jet has the same #'s on the old and new. If you have done this or feel ok working on your carb, get a can of carb cleaner or I use brake cleaner either way, take it and clean all ports and be sure all the debis is out. You can blow a liitle air and see if the needle is working. Don't use an air compressor too check it.

It's the needle and seat in the carb, seen this happen 3 other times, Replace it with a new one and turn the gas off when your not running wheeler, should never have this problem again.
