I've got one on my 400. It's an inline temp gauge that goes in your coolant line. I got mine from esr!

The ESR gauges are nice. Ive got a stewart warner mechanical gauge on mine. I put a tee in the coolant line and put the probe there. Ive got the gauge mounted on my dash. (see pics)

any temp guage from an auto parts store will werk fine. i have a sunpro that i got at autozone. the sensor goes into the motor cylinder head, where the stock sensor for the temp idiot light is. its a really simple install.

i have had mine for a good year and a half and its held up great.

yup it just replaces the idiot light sensor. the fan temp sensor is in the radiator, so it wont be effected.

good luck!

Also, when you do this mod, keep an eye on it for a while. We put on in my cousins 400, and had to use a 90* - the weight fr the elbow and the sender + the vibration caused it to come loose and run hot.
