Default scrambler rear shock bolt problems

I am trying to take off my rear shock to take in to get rebuilt but I cant bet the top bolt out. any suggestions? The bottom one came off fine. The nut came off without any problems either but the bolt wont come out of the frame whole.. I just spins freely.

its prolly worn or bent or both, this might call for drastic measures.

i have had this happen also. the right size c-clamp will help you press it out. u gotta kinda offset the one end to allow the bolt to slide out.

hope this helps... good luck.

Thanks Scramblerx for the reply. I not sure I understand though. I have C clamps but what do you mean offset to get it out?

well one end needs to be on the end of the bolt, and the other end obviously cant be on the other end of the bolt, but it needs to be off to the side of the bolt(offset), and it will let bolt come out. its kinda funky, but its werked for me.

hope this helps...

i tried using a punch with a 22oz hammer! still no luck. I sprayed wd40 on it also. I think maybe the bolt is attached to the bushings. I dont know what else to try besides borrowing my neighbors impact wrench and driving it out. THis is ridiculous! I dont want to damage the shock obviously but it seems the only way i may get it off is to cut the bushings out. URRRRRRRRR
