Default good all around tire???

Looking for a good all-terrain tire. I ride in sand, trails, water, mud, dirt; just about everything except snow. I am looking at ITP mudlights, maxxis all traks and sur traks, and the kenda claws.

Thanks for any info

Jeff

I have heard good comments on the Kenda Claws, mudlights, and all traks. The Kenda Claws would probably be better on your sport 400. The mudlights and all traks perform well on utilities. Everyone I have talked to that has claws on their sport atv have had nothing but good things to say about them. Another thing to mention is the Claws are very affordable. Good luck with your choice.

I ran 22/23" Maxxis Razr's on my old DS650, and they worked very well in all types of terrain. The 22/23" tire combo keeps ground clearance the same as stock, and the square shoulder of the rear tires helps it bite better where a rounded tire couldn't bite. The Razr's handle really well with a center strip of treads down the middle of the fronts and the square shoulder of the rears help with stability. Razr's will definitely be the next tire I buy for my 4x4 Scrambler

My vote is for any of the maxxis razor's(or even the radials).....and also for the kenda's.....they are both a good tire, and you won't have trouble with them.

Default good all around tire???

Can i go to a 1" wider tire - from 22x11x10- to 22x12x10? Will this hurt performance or anything. Will they fit on a stock sport rim?

Thanks

Jeff

any tire that you go bigger will effect it some, but not that much that small of a diff. in tires. i went a little bigger on the wifes blazer and it didnt effect it enough to notice.
