which would get to the top of a hill faster with a 10mph roling start from 50feet from base of hill, its a 300 yard hill with sand and slick, shallow mud, 400ex with $200 mods vs. banshee with $100 mods vs scrambler 500 4x4 HO with $200 mods

I would definetly buy a 400ex before any polaris, but I wouldnt buy either... 400ex only has elec.start.. Polaris sport quads really arent sport quads, they are wannabes.. what the heck is a sport quad without a clutch??? uhhh,, not a sport quad!!

Wait a second Zorro. It all dependes on which hill your climbing and at what speed. Next time we go out we will stop half way up and then have a go at it!

But the Shee...with a lot of momentum... is hard to beat!

Nauvooguy you are so right, all hail nauvooguy. The scrambler can mess up the 400ex in reverse, but that would'nt be fair cuz the ex lacks that. I guess thats what you get for paying $5500 bucks on a quad, Scramblers are only $4800 to $5500 bucks and they come with reverse and even 4 wheel drive with request.

DIESEL4x4 To answer your question the scrambler will have them beat without the mods. in the conditions your speeking of the others might as well say forget it and take the prissy race machines home.
